Learning AI on My Own: An Imperfect but Meaningful Journey

Hello, I'm Vorgath Callaghan (a pseudonym), born in Jakarta, Indonesia.

I might not be anyone special in the world of technology.
I don’t have a computer science degree.
I didn’t go to a prestigious university.
In fact, I once felt like I chose the "wrong major" back in vocational school.

This journey began with small things—random YouTube videos and short AI-related content on Instagram. That’s how I got interested in the world of Artificial Intelligence.

At first, everything felt overwhelming.

Technical jargon that made my head spin.
And an ever-present feeling of not being “from the tech world.”

But I kept learning—slowly.
I watched tutorials, failed, and tried again.
I studied the basics of machine learning, explored chatbot UI design, and experimented with Firebase Studio.
Eventually, I started building something I now call Vorgathium.
